Job Requirements – Industrial Butcher (Slaughterhouse)
Education:
- Completion of a meat cutting or butchery program is an asset but not mandatory.
Experience:
- Previous experience in industrial butchery, meat cutting, or slaughterhouse operations is preferred.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to use knives, saws, and specialized cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and carcass breakdown.
- Physical strength and stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow strict health, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Attention to detail and precision in trimming, deboning, and portioning meat.
Work Environment:
- Slaughterhouse/processing plant environment.
- Exposure to cold/refrigerated conditions.
- Standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, and heavy lifting (up to 25–30 kg).
- Fast-paced and physically demanding work.
