Hourly rate: $47.93 to $65 depending on experience.
Positions Available: 2
Type: Permanent-Full time (Minimum 30 hrs. a week)
Job Duties:
Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients.
Conduct research in physiotherapy.
Confer with other health professionals.
Maintain clinical and progress reports.
Select appropriate exercises, apparatus, and manipulations.
Plan physiotherapy programs.
Administer evaluative tests and procedures.
Assess patients' physical abilities.
Skills and Competencies:
· Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills
· Ability to develop evidence-informed treatment plans
· Proficiency in manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation
· Strong verbal and written English communication skills required
· Ability to independently conduct patient assessments and maintain clinical documentation in English
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
· Organizational skills and ability to manage a patient caseload efficiently
· Commitment to ethical practice and professional standards
· Adaptability to rural and community-based healthcare environments
Experience:
· No minimum Canadian experience is required for Canadian Training Physiotherapists.
· New graduates are encouraged to apply
· Previous clinical experience in musculoskeletal or private practice settings is considered an asset
· Experience in rural or community-based practice is considered an asset
· Experience in sports physiotherapy is considered an asset
· Experience in women’s health physiotherapy is considered an asset
Education, Registration and Licensing:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent internationally recognized credential)
· Internationally educated applicants must be eligible to complete a credentialing assessment through the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR)
· Registration in British Columbia requires successful completion of the Canadian Physiotherapy Examination (CPTE)
· Independent physiotherapy practice is contingent upon successful registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC)
· All physiotherapy services will be delivered in accordance with provincial regulatory requirements.
