Centex Sunnyside is a Gas station located in Celista, British Columbia having Gasoline,

Midgrade and premium Diesel, Local produce, confectionery, lotto (BC lottery) and ice-cream

and Liquor.

Centex Sunnyside in Celista, British Columbia is looking for TWO (2) energetic individuals as

Supermarket Cashier for our site located at 5328 Squilax-Anglemont Road, Celista, BC,

V0E 1M6. Position is full time with 8 hours a day/40 hour a week.

As a Supermarket Cashier, you will be responsible to oversee the Gas Station while performing all duties described below:

 Have readings from Veeder Report system and reporting them to management for fuel

ordering

 Keeping the bathrooms, lounge, laundry clean

 Greet customers in an enthusiastic and welcoming manner. A warm and friendly

personality is a must.

 Scanning merchandise and tabulate total payment required using electronic cash register.

 Receive and process payments by cash, credit card, automatic debit, gift cards, and other

forms of payment.

 ASK ID FOR RESTRICTED PRODUCTS. (ALL Tobacco Products, ALL Lottery, ALL

Liquor )

 Scan and print lottery tickets.

 Provide Pioneer’s promotional information to customers.

 Count registers cash and perform safe drops.

 Perform property maintenance duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing,

forward facing merchandise, and keeping the store clean.

 Printing shift end reports and/or store close reports lottery and phone cards.

 Some last-minute shift availability may be required.

 Inventory of products on store shelves

 Paying attention to detail inside and outside of the store

 Must be a team player and a quick thinker

 Pumps gas, washes windshields and checks fluid levels in vehicles (If required by the

customer)

 Wrap, weight and sell meat products from produce section.

Requirements:

 Less than 1 year of experience required (On job training will be provided)

 Availability to work a variety of hours, which may include weekends, evenings, early

morning shifts and holidays.

 Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English effectively

 Basic math skills to handle cash.

 Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma

What we offer:

 $19 .50 /hr

 4% Vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period
