T. Moscone & Bros Landscaping is one of the largest commercial landscaping companies in British Columbia. We are currently recruiting Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team.
Job duties
· Operate heavy equipment including skid steer loaders, backhoes, forklifts, mini excavators and telehandlers to load, relocate, and stage construction and landscaping materials, including soil, gravel, mulch, pavers, block, and lumber.
· Perform rough grading, leveling, backfilling, snow removal, and site preparation using skid steer equipment.
· Operate specialized skid steer attachments including augers (post-hole drilling), trenchers, hydraulic breakers, and broom attachments to support excavation and surface preparation activities.
· Offload supplier deliveries and lift materials to elevated decks, rooftops, and structural installations using telehandler equipment.
· Load conveyors, slingers, and telebelts with granular materials.
· Conduct pre-use inspections, equipment safety checks, and lift planning to ensure safe operation and compliance with site safety requirements.
· Handle fuels and controlled products in accordance with WHMIS standards and follow spill response procedures.
· Read and interpret blueprints.
· Prepare accident reports if required.
· Perform incidental landscaping support duties, including material placement, site cleanup, and assistance with installation of landscape features, as required.
Job Requirements
At least 2 years of previous related work experience is required.
Skid Steer, Telehandler, Fall Protection, and WHMIS certificates are a strong asset.
Additional information
Wage: $37/hour
Vacation: 4% of gross earnings
Job status: Full time (40 hours per week), year-round, permanent position.
