Job Purpose:
To aid the kitchen in providing excellent customer service to our guests and staff through assisting with food prep, dining room service, dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen and dining room spaces. Muskoka Woods serves approximately 25,000 guests/year.

Salary offered: $18/hour

Type of employment: Permanent- full time (on- site) there is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities include:
Preparing ingredients including chopping vegetables, panning food items, slicing lunch meat, wrapping sandwiches, deep frying, grilling and BBQ'ing.
Setting up and managing all hot and cold buffets, juice machines, and coffee stations in the dining areas.
Washing dishes as assigned. Cleaning and maintaining an industrial dishwasher.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area including sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, taking out garbage
Receiving and organizing inventory
Following food safety protocols to ensure quality and hygiene.
Ensuring all food handling procedures comply with health regulations.
Contributing to a positive team environment focused on youth development.
Skills & Abilities required:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
1 to 2 years of kitchen experience preferred
Strong work ethic
Customer service mindset
Team player
Positive attitude
Takes initiative
Willing to work early morning shifts
Willing to perform manual labour (unloading inventory, cleaning, mopping)

Essential Functions:
Have the physical strength and ability to lift and move small and large objects (ie. mop bucket, garbage bags, food inserts, and inventory)
Work efficiently for 7-9 hours at a time
Participate in cleaning and projects that involve lifting and carrying 10-30 lbs
Be able to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch
Communicate clearly and effectively with both staff and guests
