DURATION OF CONTRACT
This contract shall have a duration of 2 years from the date the EMPLOYEE assumes his functions.(“the TERM OF EMPLOYMENT”)
Both parties agree that this contract is conditional upon the EMPLOYEE obtaining a valid work permit pursuant to the Immigration Regulations and his/her successful entry to Canada.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The EMPLOYEE agrees to carry out the following tasks as a Carpenter:
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout, dimensions, and materials required for carpentry projects.
· Prepare work areas by performing foundation layout, floor leveling, and wall preparation to support structural and finishing installations.
· Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials to construct frameworks, supports, and other structural components.
· Build and install wooden frameworks, partitions, and supports required for cabinet and fixture installation.
· Install cabinets, countertops, doors, and related fixtures in residential and commercial construction settings.
· Perform general carpentry work including floor installation, structural adjustments, and modification of existing wooden structures.
· Inspect, maintain, and repair wooden structures and fixtures to ensure durability and compliance with project requirements.
· Ensure adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout all stages of construction and installation.
WORK SCHEDULE
The EMPLOYEE shall work minimum 30-40 hours per week. He shall receive 50% more than the regular wages for any hours worked over 44 hours per week. His hours will vary day by day.
The EMPLOYEE shall be entitled to one 30-minute break per shift.
The EMPLOYEE shall be entitled to 1-2 days off per week depending on schedule.
The EMPLOYEE shall be paid 4% vacation pay.
The EMPLOYEE shall be entitled to 0 days of sick leave per year.
WAGES AND DEDUCTIONS
The Employer agrees to pay the EMPLOYEE for his wages of $36.20 per hour. These shall be paid at monthly basis.
The EMPLOYER agrees to pay all taxes and submit all deductions payable as prescribed by law (including, but not limited to, employment insurance, income tax, Canada Pension plan, or Quebec Pension plan).
