Job Overview
A private household is seeking a reliable and experienced Home Child Care Provider to deliver attentive childcare and support children’s daily routines in a safe and nurturing environment. This is a full-time, non-seasonal position.
Key Responsibilities
Taking full responsibility for the household and children in the Employer’s absence
Accompanying the family during travel and assisting with childcare and light household responsibilities
Assisting children with daily routines including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Supporting discipline in accordance with the Employer’s guidance and parenting approach
Encouraging positive behavior, personal hygiene, and social development
Monitoring and documenting children’s daily activities, routines, and overall well-being
Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy home environment
Planning and engaging children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
Preparing and serving nutritious meals for the children
Organizing rest periods and ensuring proper sleep routines
Providing attentive supervision and care at all times
Escorting children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities
Supporting the emotional well-being and development of the children
Assisting with homework and educational activities
Employment Details
Fixed-term contract
Full-time, non-seasonal role with guaranteed minimum hours
Overtime paid at 1.5x after 44 hours per week
4% vacation pay provided
1–2 days off per week
30-minute break per shift
Wages & Conditions
Hourly wage: $20.60 per hour
Overtime in accordance with the British Columbia Employment Standards Act
Wages paid with applicable statutory deductions
Position complies with Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) and ESDC requirements
