We are looking for cooks for our clients. You will be reporting to 5707 College Dr, Vermilion Alberta, T9X 1K5, Canada. This position is in a remote site within a rural destination.
JOB DUTIES:
Prepare and execute high-volume short-order and made-to-order meals including breakfast items, grill selections, sandwiches, comfort foods, and daily feature menus for institutional dining and campus food service operations.
Manage rapid order execution during peak meal periods by prioritizing ticket flow, coordinating station production, and maintaining accuracy, consistency, and presentation standards in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment.
Operate and maintain specialized kitchen equipment including flat-top grills, deep fryers, broilers, convection ovens, steamers, and hot holding units to support continuous food production and service efficiency.
Perform advanced station setup and production planning by preparing mise en place, maintaining par levels, and ensuring uninterrupted service across multiple food stations and meal periods.
Monitor cooking temperatures, allergen controls, recipe yields, and portion specifications to ensure compliance with HACCP standards, institutional food safety procedures, and operational cost controls.
Support campus catering and conference dining operations through bulk food preparation, buffet production, packaged meal preparation, and coordinated execution for large-scale institutional events and functions.
Maintain strict inventory rotation, food labeling, traceability, and storage procedures for prepared ingredients, proteins, dairy products, and ready-to-serve food items in accordance with sanitation and quality assurance standards.
Work collaboratively with kitchen supervisors, food service teams, and front-line staff to maintain efficient dining operations, customer satisfaction, and consistent meal service within Aramark’s institutional food service environment.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the food industry
Language: English
Hourly Wage: $18.39 for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
