This position will be responsible for a range of general maintenance duties. At times this will be a physically demanding position requiring heavy lifting and involving a wide variety of assignments, some of which will be outdoors. The candidate must be physically able to perform such tasks in any type of weather, often with short notice. The successful candidate should be well versed in Guest Service, as they will have many opportunities to be dealing with guests, either in guestrooms or in public spaces.

Wage is $22.00 per hour. Financial commitment incentive and team housing is available. Wages may be increased due to annual salary reviews, provincial minimum wage changes or at the employer’s discretion. 1 position available.

As a Hotel Maintenance Technician you will:
Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux and Forbes, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond Standards.
Be true to Our Promise, meet and exceed the service philosophies and standards of the Inn.
Be part of a team who is responsible for the daily maintenance of guestrooms and public spaces.
Be part of a team who is responsible for Interior and Exterior building maintenance.
Be responsible for landscaping duties, and general grounds work.
Handle project work such as painting, carpentry and equipment maintenance.
Assist in helping to maintain a schedule-based program of preventative maintenance.
Handle equipment maintenance including bicycle fleet upkeep.
Manage furniture restoration and repair.
Work in the outdoors for a variety of tasks.
Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and make minor purchases as required.
Provide general assistance to skilled trade persons such as mechanics, electricians, carpenters and plumbers.
Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the establishment.
May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
May supervise other workers.

A valid BC Class 5 Driver's License. Applicants must be eligible for a BC Class 5 driver’s license and have a minimum of two years of clean driving experience in their home country.
The ability to make a commitment to the position for a mutually understood and agreed upon period of time.
