Job Description:
Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Vacancy: 1
Working Hours: 40 Hours per week
Wage: $24.00 per hour
Job Offer Type: Full-time, Permanent

Main duties:
Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
Maintain daycare equipment
Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical,cognitive, emotional and social development of children
Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Job Requirement:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Certifications and Licenses: BC Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant Certificate
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Immunization Records
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Personal Suitability: Punctuality, Excellent oral communication, Team player
