Summary of Responsibilities:
Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport lumber, steel, general freight, modular, manufactured, or prefabricated homes and related materials.
Load, secure, and unload cargo, oversized or specialty loads, ensuring compliance with all safety, transport, and permit regulations.
Assist with on-site installation, including positioning, leveling, and securing structures.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
Collaborate with logistics, site, and installation teams to ensure safe, efficient deliveries.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation information.
Requirements:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with manual transmission endorsement is required with a clean driving record.
Proven experience hauling lumber, steel, general freight, modular or manufactured homes (minimum 2 years).
Strong knowledge of flatbed operations, securing loads, and oversized load regulations.
High school diploma (required).
Valid passport or the ability to obtain one.
Willingness and ability to travel to the USA as required.
Ability to read and follow routing permits and transport plans.
Comfortable working in outdoor environments and assisting with physical setup tasks.
Strong English communication skills (spoken and written) are required.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are strong assets.
Knowledge of automotive repair techniques is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance.
Ability to work closely with others on a jobsite and during transportation
