Minimum Education and Experience:
· Some Secondary (high) school education is required.
· Minimum 1 year of safe driving experience is required. Previous experience as a delivery driver, courier or in a similar position is an asset.
· A valid Class 5/5F/G driver’s licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles) is required.
· First aid certificate is required.

· Good organizational and time-management skills to plan delivery routes and meet scheduled delivery times.
· Familiarity with maps, GPS directions and delivery instructions.

Job Duties:
· Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light vehicles to pick up and deliver parcels, messages, goods and other items.
· Pick up and deliver parcels, goods and other items to customers, businesses and other designated locations by hand.
· Plan delivery routes and schedules to complete assigned deliveries efficiently and on time.
· Load and unload goods and delivery items.
· Sort and organize packages for delivery according to assigned routes.
· Follow directions, maps and GPS instructions to locate delivery destinations.
· Pay and receive payments for goods when required.
· Obtain signatures or other confirmation of delivery when required.
· Record information relating to deliveries, pickups, delivery times and vehicle mileage.
· Provide professional customer service during pickup and delivery activities.
· Communicate with customers, dispatch and supervisors regarding delivery schedules, delays, addresses and other delivery-related matters.
· Report delivery problems, incidents, vehicle issues or other concerns to the supervisor.
· Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
· Maintain the vehicle in a clean and safe operating condition.
· Perform other related delivery duties as required.
